YOUR ACCOUNT

If you use this site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. For your password we recommend a minimum of eight characters (being comprised of a mixed combination of uppercase, lowercase, numbers and/or special characters). You accept sole responsibility for ensuring that all contact information (postal, telecom and electronic) are accurate and correct. Yankee Roo accepts no responsibility for non-delivered or misdirected communication to you because the contact/shipping information has been incorrectly provided. Yankee Roo reserves the right to refuse service; terminate accounts; remove, modify or cancel orders in its sole discretion; with or without notice.

SHIPPING, HANDLING & FREIGHT

Depending on the size and value of your order we may use Registered Post, Express Post, Airmail, Standard Postal or Courier services. Shipping charges include one or more of: postage, freight charges, registration, packaging costs, handling fees and/or additional charges levied. Shipping and Handling charges are automatically calculated by online shipping calculators provided by Australia Post and other services; based on parcel weight, dimensions and shipping destination provided.

Yankee Roo operates an online sales service for various battery and measurement retail and wholesale organisations located throughout Australia. When you make a purchase from this service - and after we receive notification of confirmed payment - we send this information onto our business partners for product fulfilment. Australian domestic orders are usually received within week of payment clearing (excluding Christmas and Easter periods). International orders are dispatched within similar timeframe, although parcel arrival varies dependent upon destination and delivery service requested. Orders which have a subtotal value lower than the recommended checkout value are processed on a weekly basis - all others are endeavoured to be processed on receipt of cleared payment.

In order to keep overhead costs down, and pass on large savings to you, we utilise a shared warehouse service. To ensure that we do not inadvertently sell volumes greater than stock availability, we list less than one third of actual stock available; to a maximum of 100 units. On rare occasion, one of the other members of the shared warehouse service may purchase remaining stock ahead of us in which all or part of your order may need to be placed into a backorder state. Should a backorder requirement arise, we will contact you.

  • International delivery destinations: Yankee Roo accepts no responsibility for goods seized or detained or otherwise not delivered due to import restrictions, regulations or other government imposed sanctions or restrictions against such products being imported into your country. It is your responsibility to ensure that all applicable laws and restrictions are adhered to prior to order of goods.

  • Shipping Damage Risk: Yankee Roo does not impose compulsory shipping insurance on its products, rather enables the customer the opportunity to make their own decisions on the quality and care of their local postal services. In doing this, we transfer all risk associated with non-delivery and/or damaged goods to the customer. All items purchased from Yankee Roo websites are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier. Additionally product damage or loss may occur for any multitude of reasons including, but not limited to, misdirected/misdelivered post, theft, import and/or carriage restrictions imposed by your local government or government agencies. If you would prefer to not carry these risks, please purchase the appropriate level of insurance protection.

  • Non-deliverable parcels: In respect to any goods that are returned to us by the shipping agent, due to incorrect shipping address or non-deliverable for whatever reason, we will notify the customer accordingly. The customer will need to provide additional funds to cover additional handling and shipping costs to resend the product/s.

  • Should the customer select shipping with No Tracking services Yankee Roo is unable to ascertain the whereabouts of the parcel once dispatched. The customer assumes total risk associated with non-delivery for any reason.

DANGEROUS GOODS

Please note that products and batteries containing Lithium are classified as dangerous goods. Yankee Roo does not ship goods classified as dangerous goods to international destinations. As such, we are unable to ship these items international destination. International customers may purchase lithium products, but are responsible for arranging their own shipping service to collect said goods from us; S&H charges levied by our shopping cart system covers costs associated with special handling of said goods and does not constitute any payment, or part thereof, towards the shipping charges of dangerous goods - such charges are borne solely by the customer. As there are overheads associated with order and payment processing, it remains the responsibility of the customer to ensure that they select the appropriate international freight services for their purchases. In the event that an international customer purchases dangerous goods and is unable to arrange for collection of said goods, an order cancellation fee of 15% (minimum charge $5.00) will be deducted from any product refund credit due.  If we are unable to contact you via the email address provided, and we have not heard from you within thirty days, the goods are assumed to be abandoned and are considered forfeited.

MY OWN COURIER Shipping Option

If you opt to utilise "My Own Courier" services please remember to provide all courier information, including your account numbers, in the Customer Notes section of the order. Please note that a handling charge is applied to your order which covers our costs associated with special travel to your shipping agent and article lodgement.

  • As customers need to actively select the "My Own Courier" option, orders using this services are not eligible for cancellation and/or refund.

  • Your courier service must have an article lodgement centre in Sydney NSW, or be able to pickup from our location in south-western Sydney.

  • Any additional surcharges, levied by the shipping agent, are borne by the customer.

  • Should we need to make additional trips to the agent, subsequent handling charges are payable.

  • We do not take, or assume, any responsibility with your goods once possession is exchanged from us to your agent.

  • If your courier company is unable to collect from us, or does not have offices available in Sydney Australia, purchase of additional shipping method is required. Order cancellation at this point will not be accepted.

  • If your order has not been collected by your courier within 30 days of 'order ready' notification, and you have not arranged for alternate shipping, the goods are considered abandoned and payment funds forfeited.

    • We will send fortnightly reminders.

    • Please make sure to add our domain to your email services "safe list" to ensure that these notices do not inadvertently end up in the junk mail folder or deleted without being read.

BACKORDERS

If we are unable to fulfil an order with a fortnight after receiving your paid order, or if we receive earlier advice of backorder requirement, we will contact you to advise of backorder processing. Should you agree to continue with the backorder you commit to awaiting for backorder fulfilment - irrespective of time to complete order. Alternatively, you may request order cancellation, where we will initiate appropriate refunds (less goods already shipped). Customers who do not request order cancellation within one week of backorder notice, accept backorder terms in default. In the event that only part of your order falls into a backorder state, the entire order (at our discretion) may be delayed whilst awaiting the backorder item to arrive. Should this occur, we will contact you in respect to partial shipments - in which additional shipping payment may be required for remaining outstanding items (depending on quantity, weight and shipping destination). Backorders initiated by the customer, those which were listed as "out of stock" at time of ordering, are non-cancellable and non-refundable.  Custom build backorders are non-cancellable and non-refundable.

REFURBISHMENT ORDERS

Some products are listed as "Refurb" or "Refurbishment". These orders are non-refundable, cannot be cancelled and require the customer to send the original unit in to us for refurbishment processing. Generally the refurbishment process takes about one fortnight (excluding holidays) to turn around and reship back to the customer. If we do not receive the original unit within four calendar weeks, we will contact the customer and so advise. If the customer is non-contactable we may, at our sole discretion, terminate the order and issue a refund (less 15% processing fee, and any payment processing surcharges & fees (if any)) or await further time for the unit to arrive. In the event that the refurbishment cost changes, we will honour the original sale price for a period not exceeding two months to commence work. Outside of this timeframe we will contact the customer regarding additional costs payable.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS

At Yankee Roo we attempt to be as accurate as possible in our item descriptions. However we do not warrant that product descriptions, images or other content of this site are accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. Some products have product assembly options. In respect to these products, we will fulfil the order to the specification of options selected. For example the 4/V150H has a connectors option, should your order advise no connectors, then the product will be shipped with no connectors. Products such as these, that require custom assembly, are not eligible for refunds or exchange.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY AND SUBSTITUTIONS

Yankee Roo endeavours to ensure that product availability is accurate through the advice of less than 1/3 of actual weekly stock advice being reported on the website. In rare instances, it is possible that a product may be placed into backorder due to a number of simultaneous orders - from various retailers - against the national supplier. In such an instance, we will notify the customer of backorder processing. If we are unable to fulfil the order request within 30 days, the customer will be provided an opportunity of order cancellation.  If the customer opts to await product fulfilment, no order cancellations will be entertained.

In the event that a product ordered is superseded or becomes no longer available, for whatever reason, the national supplier (Master Instruments) may substitute the affected products with new or replacement products at no additional charge. If product substitution is not acceptable, please so state in the customer notes section during time of order; failure to so advise is acceptance of any such suitable substitution as advised by the national supplier.

PRICING

Despite our best efforts, a small number of the items in our catalogue may be incorrectly priced. If we discover an incorrect pricing, we will (at our discretion) contact you regarding the pricing error. Should the our supply cost be greater than the sale cost we will request additional payment or order cancellation. If we overcharge, we will provide a credit certificate to be used in conjunction with future purchases.

Some products/services require the initial supply of battery casings for repacking. Please note that the repacking service has a minimum fee of $25, which is payable in the event that the unit cannot be repacked or repaired for whatever reason. Should this occur, the fee will be deducted from any refund credit due.

WARRANTY

Product Warranty options have been added to enable the customer to select a warranty coverage period which suits their needs and cost appetite.  Products dispatched are exactly the same regardless of which warranty option is selected. Warranty selection cannot be changed once the items have been shipped. If an item is purchased without warranty, is cannot be returned or refunded whatsoever.
