International Orders

 

Further to the Terms and Conditions of sale for Australian domestic orders, the following information is applicable to our international customers and/or orders which have a final shipping destination outside of the Commonwealth of Australia.  It is recommended that you read and understand these additional terms and conditions before submitting an order for shipment to an international (i.e. non-Australia) destination. If you have any doubt or question regarding the processing of an order to an international destination, please contact customer services before you place an order.

Shipping Information:

  • International Customs & Import: YankeeRoo accepts no responsibility for goods seized or detained or otherwise not delivered due to import restrictions, regulations or other government imposed sanctions or restrictions against such products being imported into your country. It is your responsibility to ensure that all applicable laws and restrictions are adhered to prior to order of goods.
     
  • Shipping Damage Risk: YankeeRoo does not impose compulsory shipping insurance on its products, rather enables the customer the opportunity to make their own decisions on the quality and care of their local postal services. In doing this, we transfer all risk associated with damaged goods to the customer. If you would prefer to not carry this risk, please purchase the appropriate level of insurance protection.
     
  • Parcel Tracking: Due to unscrupulous international customers who prefer to lower shipping costs by accepting risks of non-delivery to follow through with PayPal claims when things go astray, we no longer offer the less expensive No-Tracking shipping options.

Dangerous Goods:

YankeeRoo does not ship Dangerous Goods to international destinations.

Therefore it is essential that you, the customer, be aware that products and batteries containing Lithium are classified as dangerous goods, and we are unable to ship these items to an international destination.

Customers may purchase products containing lithium for international destinations provided they are able to arrange international carriage from a Sydney origin; e.g. FedEx. That said, however, the customer need be aware that YankeeRoo will only transport the goods to their Sydney based collection depot. The S&H charges levied by our shopping cart system covers cost associated with the special handling of said goods and carriage to the international freight forwarders depot in Sydney. It does not constitute any payment, or part thereof, towards the shipping charges of dangerous goods - such charges are borne solely by the customer.

As there are overheads associated with order and payment processing, it remains the responsibility of the customer to ensure that they select the appropriate international freight services for their purchases. In the event that an international customer purchases dangerous goods and is unable to arrange for collection of said goods, an order cancellation fee of 15% (minimum charge $5.00) will be deducted from any product refund credit due.  If we are unable to contact you via the email address provided, and/or we have not received your freight forwarder information from you within thirty days, the goods are considered "unclaimed goods" and are forfeited without refund.

Classification of Dangerous Goods:

Please note that there are some products which are listed as Dangerous Goods and thus have some shipping restrictions applied thereto. Product that contain either Lithium and/or Lead Acid are considered to be dangerous goods by our shipping agents, as a result we are not able to ship to international destinations. 

Shipping and Handling:

Any customer selecting dangerous goods for destinations which are not able to be reached via surface/road postal services must arrange their own transport of said goods from Sydney Australia. 

Shipping and handling fees still apply, as we incur manual handling and order processing not otherwise performed to arrange for these goods to be delivered to the customers nominated freight forwarding service. It is recommended that you select the least expensive shipping option available. We will advise you when your order is ready for dispatch, and will await a maximum of 30 days for receipt of information regarding your Freight Forwarder before the goods are deemed as "unclaimed goods".

Freight Forwarders:

The customer must provide information pertaining to their preferred international freight forwarded who will uplift and transport the dangerous goods to your intended destination. The freight forwarder must have an Australian domestic (Sydney preferred) consignment collection centre for us to dispatch the items to.  All freight charges for carriage from the collection centre to the final destination will be borne by the customer and is not included during any checkout process within our shopping cart system. To avoid shipping delays, ensure to include information regarding your account number with the freight forwarder to avoid any undue delays.

International Currency Conversion:

All sales from our website are processed in Australian currency (AUD).  Please use this friendly currency conversion tool to determine the approximate cost of your purchase in your local currency.  Please note that actual cost may vary depending on exchange rates at time of financial processing, and if you are using an online or offline payment method.
